Educational Training Kits
: Global
Positioning Training System - Trainer kit Exporters
Global
Positioning Training System is an effective
means of teaching GPS (Global Positioning System) technology.
This system tracks up to twelve satellites simultaneously
using the antenna provided with the system. All GPS Antennas
operate on the line-of-sight principle; the antenna must have
line-of-sight visibility with at least three GPS satellites
for fairly accurate tracking of location and for better analysis
& understanding of GPS. Mounting the Trainer's Antenna
outside a classroom window would provide the necessary visibility.
Students can perform various experiments using this system.
The system is supplemented with a CD containing GPS software
for use on a PC, as well as the complete Experiment &
Circuit Description Manual. The Manual contains excellent
discussions on several GPS and related topics, facilitating
students to understand concepts of the Global Positioning
System Technology. Navigation concepts and GPS background
are also dealt with in detail. Students can also learn to
correlate their position in terms of latitude and longitude
and measurement accuracy of GPS hardware. The software analyzes
the GPS data and provides a navigation fix display. The output
of the Interface Board provides an RS-232 level signal. This
signal can be connected to any PC that has NMEA GPS software
installed on it.
